335i sedan with no options.. question about seats

Thinking about a 335i sedan.. I'm not tring to be cheap but it seems like I really don't need or want any options.. since I'm planning on coilovers and probably 19" CSL reps I don't want a sport package.. and since I don't want to maintain the leather.. I am fine with leatherette.. yes I've read all the debates and letherette is for me.. I'm sure.. lets try not to flame this issue. Xenons are standard so I really don't WANT any more options.

My questions is.. do the stock leatherette seats look like the 328i and 328xi seats? or are they the ones with the side bolsters and thigh support? does anyone have a 335i with NO options? if so.. can i see some pics of your seats?

I test drove both cars.. I'm sure the 328i had the regular seats.. when I test drove the 335i sedan.. I'm pretty sure it had the sport package since the wheels were the 18" ones..

I know that the sport package and premium package get u the "better" seats.. but once again.. just want to make sure the stock 335i seats are different from 328i and 328xi.

Thanks in advance.

there are 2 seats, sport and non sport

the leather versions of each have a bit more stitching on them

there should be plenty of pics in the photo gallery, but there's only 2 options

even if you are changing the suspension and wheels, the sport pack gets the upgraded seats and better steering wheel

stock seats are the same across the E9x platform
there are only two types of seats, stock vs sport package seats

The non-sport seats are fine.

the stock seats do not hav the side bolsters and are not really too supportive. i have no problem with u gettin the ette but at least get the sport package for the seats cuz they r truely worth it. they r awesome. i have hardly any options on my ordered car but gettin the sports package is a must imo. as for the suspension just get it anyway especially if u r just gonna get lowering springs.

and premium package doesn't get you 'better seat' per se, they do add leather, so I guess in a way, leather seats >> leatherette seats

If there's 1 option you order go for ZSP. The sport seats/steering wheel are SO worth it.

i ordered the following:

-leather
-metallic paint
-sport package (most important IMO)
-aluminum pedals (even though not listed)
-heated seats (good for yuppie resale)

total msrp = 45100

For a 5.3s 0-60 bmw i think thats is mighty nice.

ZSP was the only option I checked when I ordered my 328...

Sit in both (non sport vs sport), the interior was basically the only reason I needed it (wheels and suspension will be replaced shortly). The adjustable side bolsters are amazing and the wheel is one of the best in the industry

good question but it does on the 5. I guess its cost cutting because the 5 also comes with a power sterring wheel. They may also do this to make the 5 seem more upscale.

i would pay the $400 odd dollars for the sports package just for the seats and the steering wheel! Get it.

The seats are worth the price if you're going to be doing any kind of spirited driving. The side bolsters are perfect and really hold you in place. I couldn't image the car without them.

I went light on the options as well - sports and folding rear seats are all I need since xenon and Logic7 are standard.

Good luck on the purchase!

Get the Sport package!!! If you later change your mind it'd be easier to swap out (you might even end up ahead).
