Reminder: you are not obligated to read a thread whose subject you don't like. :)

Seems obvious, but apparently it's not...

A lot of times people get big news at different times. So people are going to repost -- if you've already read the news and discussed it, just leave their new thread alone.

They're here because they have some opinion they want to share and to discuss. So let them discuss it with others to whom it's also new.

Just thought I'd mention that since it happens all the time. I think we are all pretty excited to see 335i versus anything reviews, and we're all going to have opinions about them. Which is cool, and a large part of why people come to online communities.

that's not the problem. The problem is he/she could have used : feature that's stressed through out the forums and could have just added their opinion to one of already created threads instead of creating new threads and adding more to the already existing clusterfuck.

Even without a search one could see 5-6 on this page alone.

Also those mudslinging type threads always turn into well...Lets just say it really affects the maturity and reputation level of the site.

Oh, and not everyone gets excited about any BMW vs. [] thread. I really couldn't care less. I like my car, I like some other cars, and my sense of worth is not tied to someone's endorsed opinion.

In the case of the G37 vs. 335i threads, it's not so much that they are reposts as it is that they are full of the lamest, most puerile drivel.

Reading 'Motor Trend sucks LOL, there editor's are idiots LOL, i race g35 and win LOL' once is more than enough.

People need to get out, drink a beer and get laid. The thread nazis here are ridiculous. 6000+ post "tough guy" typist. If you don't like reading the thread move on. I've already got a couple of members on my ignore list, who add nothing but smart ass remarks.

I love those rash of noobs that get butt-hurt when I use the smiley on their thread, this dude shadyg and loomp have been crying non-top, guess they're really sensitive, luckily shadyg won't be able to read what I write since I'm pretty sure I'm on his ignore list, or maybe too busy crying about the dying seal pups in his pink flowery dress

I agree that the search button can be a good friend but sometimes searching for a topic only provides old information. Remember that we are all just learning about the 335 since its a new product and information changes as time goes on. So what was good information three months ago in an old thread may not be completly useful today. So I agree, if you don't have anything new to add to a repost then just leave it alone. I hate it when people tell those asking questions to search. How do you know that they didin't search but didnt find enough info? And someone may now have new information. personally I don't have the time to search through a seven page thread only to not find what I'm loking for or find incomplete information. i would prefer if someone answers the question I'm asking. If you don't have anything of use to input, then ignore the repost or redundant questions and move on to the next thread. Just my two scents. Even better, the time it took you to read the redundant question and answer that the person should search, why not just answer the question. Since you wanted to get involved.

Well put.

Just today, I added a couple of "tough guys" to my ignore list. They know who they are... and they will probably be back here on this thread to try to MODERATE what is or is not dicsussed on all threads they happen upon. We have a couple of moderator for this forum already. They do a great job, and I hope they read and respond to what has happend to some thead the past few day.
If one don't have anything of substance to say, please don't say anything at all. The irony of this is, those that respond with snid drivel remarks are contipating the forum up , just at much as those that choose not to search.

Tell the truth, did you steal that from one of his speeches in 1981?? It sure sounds like one of his. J/K
