Does Anyone Want To Let Me Borrow a Procede?

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I just installed the Turbo Tuner and I'm going to get a dyno done.
With all of the talk about the Turbo Tuner vs Procede, I'd really like to know for myself with tests done on the same dyno. I understand that the Procede gives more power, but I'd like to see exactly how much.

I've seen different tests and comparisons with different dynos, but I don't know if I've seen a comparison with the same exact dyno.
If there is, I'd still like to do my own comparison.
Is anyone interested?

**EDIT**

I didn't realize that there were different Procede tuners for different cars so...

I have the manual trans with sport package

That's a good idea.

I would like to see the results too.

Let's see who in your area is willing to go with you and Dyno your car with their PROcede.

I thought so too. Actually the dyno that I'm going to use is the same dyno that was used in the procede article in Edmonds. I could just take my turbo tuned car there and compare results that way but I don't want any discrepencies with 2 different cars and all of that talk.
I'm talking about the same exact car on the same exact dyno with 2 different tuners to compare results.

Any takers?

I'll give you a Terry Tuner if you're willing to do a dyno test vs. the turbo tuner.

And why is this in the Marketplace? It would get a lot more views in the general forced induction forum plus you aren't buying or selling anything

Plus even though it is an interesting experiment you are talking about lots of hassel and work for someone. They would have to uninstall their 'cede, meet you at the Dyno shop, install it on your car since you have never done the install before, wait for all the dyno runs, uninstall it from your car, reinstall on their car. You are talking about an all day event simply to satisfy curiosity.

The only one I could think of that might have the motivation for the results and skill to do all the installs/uninstalls in a reasonable amount of time would be someone from Vishnu Tuning.

I understand what you're saying, but I was just thinking that this forum is here to help provide some sort of guidance and I was just thinking that it would be a good idea to do a test like this.

Also, I'm assuming there are a bunch of people in SoCal that have a 335 with a Procede and they might be able to meet me there. Especially since they most likely will get a dyno run themselves.

I posted it here just in case someone was looking to sell it and already had it off of their car. Of course it would be easier for me to install it if it's already taken out of their car. Who knows, after the testing maybe I would buy it?
Also, maybe Vishnu might want to chime in. Maybe he would like to help out since I would be paying for this test. It would be really interesting to see the plots on one graph. I would most likely have the dyno for the whole day.

Nah they're just hating on me for various reasons. I've got 2,000 miles, 20 timed track runs, and numerous DME logs showing its safe. Most of these guys that attack me don't even own the software to log the DME and have no idea what they are talking about. I'm open to a technical discussion if anyone is smart enough to have one.

This is what I'm going to do guys:

3 runs with each program
plot the best run of each program on one graph so we can see the deltas.
Sounds good. I know there are some procede resellers in the area that might be willing to let you borrow one.

Good luck to the OP with the dynos, I can wait to see the differences.
I've contacted Shiv to see if there is one that I can borrow for the testing but I haven't heard anything back from him. I hope he thinks that I'm serious because I very much am.

I can understand that he probably feels that there has been enough dyno results to prove the numbers that his procede puts out, but I just think that this would be a great test to see the numbers when comparing the programs on the same car, the same day on the same dyno.

Would this even work? I mean i thought the ECU needed time to adjust to the new chip. So swapping it right away on the same day to dyno might now show the exact gains, no?
