I meet a guy that had a 335 sedan and he could roll his windows up with the key fob..
he said he bought the car that way in Florida and the prevoius owner was a BMW mechanic. He thought he changed a computer setting. any comments on this, if so, where when and how cause I am a doinng it. |

the OP is asking for rolling up the windows with the FOB, not rolling down. I think the rolling up feature is available to markets other than North America

everyones can do that, but it would be alot cooler to roll up the windows after getting out of the car and walking a few steps to notice you left one down, it would be alot more convienient.

Blame your lawyers for that. Feature deleted in US.
People like suing so much so BMW just protecting themselves from frivolous law I saw German models can do this, so it is a feature delete. There is an anti-pinch feature included but I guess thats not good enough for the lawyers. I would love my car to do that. Same goes for the lawyers yellow stickers and idiot screen in I-Drive.

German designers realize that there will be plenty of idiots in the US who will roll windows up on their kids' necks, after which lawyers would reward them as potential recipients for a class action lawsuit against the car maker. |

Yeah I hate walking over to the car to put the windows up.
More Than likely its a foreign part or software replacement. My brother in laws Old A6 does the roll up from the remote, standard. |

My e93 can do that - Aussie del'd with CA. My X5 can do that too -Just press the lock button on the fob and keep holding it. Shuts the sunroof as well.

are you sure anyone that there is a hidden setting in the computer that can turn the roll up with key fob feature.
I know some Audi can do it with a computer change. |

yea, mine windows only go up if i insert the key into the door and turn, but the windows can be opened by remote from several feet away
this is stupid, even my 8 year old Mercedes E320 can open and close with the remote from 20 feet away

if you are a BMW tech it should pretty be easy to reprogram. because the feature is already available in the computer module, it is just that it is blocked in North America via a software. so i guess if you know BMW pretty well and have the adquet programming device then you can reprogram it.

Anyone with CA can do it, but only using the CA method to lock. Closes the sunroof and windows, and for 06 cars, folds in the mirrors.
Strange that we can do it with CA, but even on a CA car, holding the lock button on the fob doesn't do the same thing as keeping your fingers on the handle ridges.
