Yeah, it was just on the news. This comes from an email from my dad's company, but I posted it after watching a segment on kiro this evening.

It's mostly BS. The same EXACT stuff was posted as happening in California. It is some stupid hoax information that is going around. Snopes.com has the California version here: http://www.snopes.com/politics/traffic/california.asp

One point is almost accurate though. Handsfree devices are required in Washington, but it doesn't go into effect until 7/1/2008 (next year.) Also, it is a secondary offense, the officer has to write another primary ticket first. In other words, they can't pull you over for it alone, there has to be something else.

Wow, yeah sounds like it is fake. Dad was all up in arms about how real all of it was when I told him I thought it was a hoax. Told me it was on the new's today, my bad guys.
