"As the dyno reveals, our 335i test car produces 280 hp 5,800 rpm as measured at the rear wheels, while the G37 comes up with 281 hp at 7,200 rpm. As close as these numbers look, the 335i holds a huge advantage over the G in power under the curve from idle to 6,350 rpm. And if you look at torque, the difference is even uglier: 279 lb-ft at 3,370 rpm for the BMW versus 229 at 4,500 rpm for the Infiniti."

I really wonder why BMW didn't just say it was 330hp in the first place

Also, why does the 335i sound more like the G35 then the G37?

Because BMW is still selling the 333HP E46 M3 along side the 335i...until the '08 E92 M3 arrives.

Did I say there was an '07 M3? No, but it's still an E46 M3.

you said the BMW still sells the e46 M3.
I would think the BMW sales figures for the 06 models are wrapped up a long ago...I may be wrong, though...

I just saw a E46 M3 on the dealership floor the other day when my wife and I test drove an X5 3.0...needless to say, it hasn't sold.

Let's not argue about stupid stuff guys, BMW doesn't make the E46 M3 anymore but obviously they will continue to sell any new ones still on the showroom floor until they're gone. So technically yes, they do still sell them.

The cool thing about the article is that it compares the G37 to the 335i. I've been wondering how those two cars stack up.
