Street Name On Nav?

Anyone know if there is a way to display the name of the current street you are driving on? I am used to several other navs (OEM and aftermarket) that would display the name of the street you are currently driving on on the bottom of the screen... Digging through the options, I just don't see it. Am I missing something?

not sure if I will add any value here but I know it shows the street name on the HUD just before your turn on that road. I am not sure about the Nav on the iDrive display as I don't use it. I mainly keep that screen on media and nav vol muted and I follow the HUD.

The only way I know to do this is to select "Current Location" in the split screen menu.

Lol. That will not be much help if you are on the A57 but don't know it though...

Not many street signs on B roads.

I was playing with this last night.

If you select the arrow view in the split screen, it will show the next road at the top of the arrow window and the current road on the bottom of the arrow window. It doesn't show that on the HUD.

I would like to try this, but my "arrow display" option is grayed out. Any ideas why?

The Arrow Display is only available when Guidance is active.

That's a bit of a PITA, but at least the feature (road you are on) is shown somewhere on the display.

It would have been nice to have it on the main nav screen.

Duh, I needed to read this thread more closely...

As shoptb stated in post #3, the Position Info screen shows you the street you are on (at the top of the split screen) without having to have guidance active.

Very nice!!

Street names are actually displayed on the map in top-down view only. If you have perspective view on your map, the names disappear. Try using the other map modes.
