Some Things I Noticed Confirm? (335i)
some things i noticed on my 335i that the other 335i at the dealer don't. can some confirm any of the following?
1. Drivers side rear tire there is a black line (wire) that sticks out if you look behind the wheel. 2. the latches on the hood (top part) screws are very loose. 3. if you look at the trunk (closed) you see a loomed black wire. 4. hood out of balance? my drivers side the hood and fender is a larger gap then the passenger where it is fine. 5. at night when you turn the wheel some type of 3rd light goes on the side and then fades away while releasing a turn. #5 is exactly what it's supposed to do,
Dealer fixed #2 and adjusted my hood fitment.

I assumed these two latches were designed to "float." They're loose on my E91 and on the X3 loaner I'm currently driving.

it's not the adaptive light, it's the cornering light. Adaptive light are the headlights that turn with the turn, they don't go off like what the OP described

hm hard to describe this one. when you look at your hood on my passenger side the hood and fender are a straight perfectlry spaced line. but on my drivers side the hood and fender are wider apart on the gap and my fender is just a few mm's higher then my hood on my drivers side hood if you feel it on the gap.

so what's up with the unaligned hood ? Did they all came like that ? are they being fixed by the dealership for free? I still haven't got mine but i'll be on a lookout for that.

2. the latches on the hood (top part) screws are very loose
This is completely normal and is the same on every car in the showroom which includes 2 M5's and an M6. I asked one of the techs and the U bolt thing which is what latches the hood to the radiator mount area. Well the U bolt is metal of course but the bracket that it is mounted in that secures it to the hood is plastic and is designed to break off in an impact so that the hood can fold correctly and not go flying through the window and cut your head off |

Hood adjustments are common. I had to take my A4 in to the dealer too. You'd think they would check all that before they hand you the keys. Maybe the hood/fenders whatever slighly move during the first few thousand miles so the hood needs adjusting. The corner lights are normal. My car is hopefully on a boat right now so cant check the other stuff
