I know they will fit but TR may not recommend them because they are out of conservative spec. TR does not list the Enkei 8.5 for the E90 but I fits indeed. Do what I did and order one for test fitment to be safe. Good selection for the weight and price. I guess you did not want to splerge on the CCW's. Keep us all posted.

Don't mount a tire or they wont take it back. This makes it harder to determine if the mounted width is appropriate. You will see you have plenty of clearance both front a rear. You got one of each? What other wheel did you order?

Yes, non staggered...to remove understeer...and to increase tire longevity. If it doesnt work out..I will have two extra front wheels.

Sorry...I posted pics of the one wheel/tire mounted on front and rear. It looks ok...in front..and I will probably try a rear 5mm spacer. However, when reading up on spacers...I think the design of the SSR Comp isnt really compatible with spacers. I am gonna call Gary @ Tirerack to discuss on Monday if I get a chance.

I am trying to figure out a way to convince the girlfriend that I really need a set of track wheels/tires. She knows I sold the race car/trailer/tow vehicle..so it is way evident to you or I..but she needs to buy in.

BTW, I am still on the fence on the staggered set up...I may just get the 18X9.5 in rear..with the bigger pilot sport back there. THAT is really my hold up.

Where is the pic posted? Why not run 245 Nitto's or Toyos? And why do you think the rear needs a spacer? Shouldn't the narrower track of the 8.5" decrease understeer which is desirable?

Just order them. What could your girlfriend really do? Its not like she is going to leave you for ordering rims and tires. Do it now while she is your GF Just busting your chops man and the SSR are some great track wheels. I hope it all works out for you. Be sure to post pics when your done.

So if both will fit which is better...245 or 255 at all four corners on 18x8.5s?

The wheel looks great. I like that anthorcite color. Funny how the SSR and Volk TE37 look very similar. I don't know who came out with the design first a while back. The 235/245/255 debate is an interesting one. With R compounds, these sizes compared to street sizes are a minimum of 10mm wider, so a 235 R compound is like a 245 or some 255's. There is a point where going wider does not realy do anything for you. If you could stuff 295's all around, you would be slower around the track than on 265's due to excessive drag. Given the size of our cars and the corner weights as well as alignment specs for a given car, it is to be seen if the 255's will be faster than 245's. I have the 245's now, and will run 255's on next set to prove this very fact. Although track conditions could throw the results.

Who else has purchased track wheels and what tires are you running. S4to335, how much camber to you have in the front? The PSC's like a lot of neg camber.

I started a little thread in the tire/wheel corner. I'm going to get a set of rims for the track/autox...

I was looking at the OZ Ultraleggera 18x8 based on price and weight. Do you know if 255s will work on this tire? I love the SSRs but didn't want to spend close to $500/wheel just for DEs. Any other wheel suggestions...preferably 18x8.5s. Guess I should just call Gary as well.

You can run the 9.0" in all four corners with 235's or 245's with no spacer if you don't have coilovers set at a low ride height. You can run 255's depending on side wall profile without a spacer, or run a 3mm spacer to clear.
