Someone hammered my foglight!

Hey Folks,
This is nuts. I had parked my car in my lot in Jersey City, the same place I've been parking my cars for three years and yesterday I see that someone had taken a hammer to my drivers side front foglight. It's been totally shattered. At least they had good aim in that they did no body damage. But now I have to get a new drivers side front foglight! Animals. I don't even why someone would do something like that. I'll take a picture and post it later.

Great perspective on things. Is everyone you know ignorant or just you?

Is there a chance something hit the light while driving? Happened to me on the A8 Autobahn last year and we didn´t realize it until hours later.

+1, I mean, if a person really hates you that much to hit your car, I doubt they would aim that precisely at just one fog, they'd be bashing in your bumper or something

oh please, we at least have a decent state with a lot of history and One half our state (NoVa) > NJ alone.

Really, think about it, sports, political, anything, what good has come out of NJ?

Northern Va. alone has great athletes, politicians and presidents from this are. Bottom line, VA > NJ

Like I said, I'm from PA. NJ does have a lot of annoying people, but your examples of why VA is better, as if such a subjective claim could ever be proven, are poor.

New Jersey has plenty of history to be proud of. In case you forgot it was one of the original colonies and its geography and citizens played a large part in the Revolutionary War, as just one example.

Do sports really even matter? NJ sends DI athletes everywhere every year. VA might send more, but it's a bigger state, congrats. How many professional sports teams does VA have again?

New Jersey has Princeton. I may not like the attitude some of those kids have, but it is an Ivy, and as such is better academically than anything, including UVA, that Virginia has to offer. However, because Virginia has other good schools like W&M, W&L and VT, I think it's a wash.

Politics, you'd be surprised. NJ is actually one of the leading states in terms of granting and protecting civil liberties. I'd say that's something to be proud of. The judicial system is recognized as one of the best nationally. On the other hand, the politicians suck. I can't defend them at all. But as for the president thing, exactly when was the last time Virginia produced a president? 1812?

Also, how and why are you pimping NoVa? It's one big cluster*#$@!

Anyway, there's a lot not to like about NJ. Property taxes, cost of living, nitwit drivers, the goons at the shore, etc., but there is actually a lot to be said for the state in the categories you mentioned. So by all means continue the good natured ribbing of New Jersey, I certainly will keep it up myself, but don't act as if it's truly some sub-standard state with no redeeming qualities or people, particularly when Virginia (and everywhere else) has its own share of issues.

Yeah, I don't think a broken fog light is the "New Jersey way". I was annoyed by a very, very, very badly driven Lincoln -- tailgated, then nearly run off the road when he passed and swerved into my lane. I noticed that there was a neat line of ball-peen hammer craters running along the passenger side of the car starting at the leading edge of the right front fender, proceeding over the doors and only terminating at the trailing edge of the right rear fender. Obviously I was not the first to be annoyed by his driving. Also obviously the prior comment on his driving style did not leave enough of an impression. So to speak.

All the glass on the front of my Volvo has been replaced at least once, and I'm on my 3rd or 4th windshield. Rocks, stones and all the crap on the highways. For all the taxes, NJ sure doesn't spend much of it maintaining its roads.

VA, NJ same shit! : Stop fighting guys lived in both and they are the same IMO.

Ok, someone always has it one worse than you. Crappy people everywhere. NJ, VA are just places, people are people and shitty stuff is everywhere. I am from NJ, my 330 was bought at Park Ave BMW (See picture). Now I live in NoVa, so what? Look what someone did to my car! On top of that, they vandalized it inside. Broke driverside lock, window steering lock etc. Damage $6000.00 why? I mean they stole the Xenons (apparently very common) but why all the other damage? Did they have to destroy the car even more? F*&% all them haters, they are just jealous lazy asses who won't work to get theirs. I am lucky my 07 335i coupe was not around because I think thats what they'd have gone after, or maybe worse, both. Life goes on, and the haters. Sorry about your car dude. As you can see this was no accident.
