HELP EMERGENCY 335 Overheating stuck at gf's house
About a mile away from my gf;s house and the yellow thermostat apperars.....i keep driving slowly thinking ill make it there and check it.....about 3 seconds later it turns read so i pull over and pop the hood and shut down the car to let it cool down. 5 minutes later i start it up and barely make it to her house (thermostat still apperaring red) ..........
Before i left to her house i had my front wheel off because i was changing a foglight bulb. I dont think this had anything to do with it..... help? |

Ok it is not an EMERGENCY for god sake..... Just call BMW and have them tow it to dealer..... I am guessing it is just a sensor...... but you never know.

Good luck, let us know what happened. I thought the overheating was a myth. If it is coolant temp, don't chance it, just tow it.
Man, I may be Nissan brainwashed by all this G this and G that and king is dead stuff, because let's face it, a Nissan product wouldn't have any of this **** going on. I guess it's all about the way it drives that keeps us loyal and happy with our nearly 50k purchases. |

First year cars are bound to have problems.
You are right. Even if my car dies out on me, I wouldn't trade it in for anything. I just love the way Bimmers drive. This is my first Bimmer and I will stay loyal no matter what. lol!

Must be the sensor malfunction of the temp reading was normal. Just have them check it In the worst case, trade it for G37 |

tried it once... engine overheats too fast on a hot day, only thing it'll do is prolong the engine overheating by 30 seconds or so...
