e93 under dash heat !
Probably this is discussed before. I just noticed the under dash area is hot on both driver and passenger sides. Red-blue switch is set on blue(cold). AC, blower, everything is off. Even with the top down, the heat is still there.
It seems like engine heat, may be the insulation is not working properly. my car is 2007 328i 56k miles. I'll take the car to dealership next week, but just wanted to check if someone can throw some light on this issue. Thanks. |

I have the same year, but the 335. I have not noticed this. There may be a solenoid issue , or a switch problem. Does it still emanate heat with the AC on?

Actually the heat is not coming from the vents. Its the whole under dash area hot. If you touch it you can feel the plastic is hot. |

you may have a leak from the heater core. If you can find the source of the heat you'll find the problem. Be careful digging around in the dash...it's tight, and the source of heat might be VERY hot.
