Ready to drop the money on a Carbon roof...
... but having second thoughts. Did a few (admittedly bad) photoshops, and wasn't too sure about the look. Thought it would work with the dark panel flowing into the tinted rear window, but it didn't look 100%...
But saying that, looking at the TCK Carbon Coupe, it looks better on there - so maybe it's just my bad Photoshop skills.. Ahhhh... what to do.

If you end up not liking it after seeing it in person, you can always paint it the body color

Thats a tough one. I do like the look of CF roofs on AW but the roof on the coupe looks fantastic and gives it its unique style.
I say do it so the rest of us can see how it looks |

I'm always concerned about adding CF parts to a car because of delamination when exposed to UV for a long period of time. Any modifications done can potentially harm resale value or make it less appealing to potential buyers. Honestly, I don't think the weight savings is worth the effort or money.

LOL, sorry. I guess I'm still tramatizied from my last car. I'm just way too familar with modifying a car considering all the money and personal time invested. Let's not even mention the additional costs and troubles involved when you step out of the typical bolt-ons and into stuff like stand-alone engine management. An after all of that drama having to sell it.
12 hour motor swaps when you're the only guy doing most of the work is not that fun.

Eww, I don't like it at all. Then again, I don't like mods very much, and that is a doozy. I love the all-over, one color. I don't like stripes, stickers...anything that'll interrupt the uniformity of one solid color. My truck is two-tone blue and silver, and even though they're my favorite colors, I'd love to one day paint it all silver.
But diversity is what makes the world go around. Hey, if you like it, then that's all that matters - go for it! |

Lots of opinions (and I didn't even post up my Photoshop ). I get where you're coming from 561, but this roof swap is (surprisingly) quite a "bolt-on" mod. The standard roof panel will remain, and will likely go back on come resale time, and then the CF roof can be resold seperately. But anyway, i'm not thinking about resale yet - i've only had the car 3 months!

So what is the big deal about unpainted CF? I can understand the weight saving of CF but not leaving it unpainted.
