Car acted weird for 15-20 miles (UPDATED WITH CODE)

Folks,

I posted earlier today: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=680987 regarding loss of engine power and SES light after I hit a pot hole. Some of you suggested code reading, I just got back from Autozone and they gave P0301 code: Cylinder 1 misfire.

Is it the injectors or Spark plugs? (Spark plugs are due in 1000 miles) or something else?

Thanks

That's easy.
Its the coil, plug or the injector
Start swapping parts with a different cylinder

Hey I just got back from Advance Auto Parts with a P0306. Tomorrow I am swapping coils, going back for another code read, then hopefully just replacing a bad coil. Otherwise I guess it's going to be an injector replacement. Fingers crossed for option 1!

@wobbles1 , Thanks :-) Worth taking it to the dealership or try it out on my own?

@djjasper, everything that you just mentioned, is it covered under CPO?

I am little surprised that a pothole triggered all this.

You may have knocked loose a connection on one of the coils would be my only guess as to why a pothole triggered it

Swapped coils, re-scanned and it was still a misfire on cylinder 6. Got bad injector replaced today. All done.
