Traded 328i for 335i

Today I traded my '07 Monaco Blue 328i for an '07 Montego Blue 335i w/ sports package, premium package, comfort access and park assist sensors. Consequently, I also changed my name from Gator328i to Gator335i. I will post pictures of the new ride tomorrow.

I had to drive all the way down to Pompano Beach from Gainesville to get it (about 4.5 hours one way), but is she ever worth it! The 335i is everything the Ultimate Driving Machine should be and then some! I love it!

The difference between the two cars is simply night and day different!

Awesome move, congrats! Well worth the trip, and you'll have an awesome memory of when you picked up the 335.

Good and bad choice, good choice cause it's a 335i, bad choice because the warranty will expire soon since it's an 07 and I know it's CPO but what's the mileage and all? I would def get rid of my 335 before warranty expires.

I made sure I had a five-figure maintenance fund set aside to cover any repairs before I went and got it

And now wait for the problems. Especially the 07. If and when I get a 335 it will definitely be LCI.

the warranty issue is so overstated on this forum, no one can create any post without someone bringing up warranty issues. sheesh, if ppl were that worried abt something breaking and having to fix it themselves, they probably wouldn't have bought a BMW in the first place.
ok, off my soap box

Man, you can not win on this forum; you get hammered for driving a 328i then you get hammered for buying a 335i?

Anyway, congrats to the op. You had your 328i for a while didn't you?

FFS stop pissing on the guy's parade. Be happy for him, and share in his excitement. HPFP issues are covered for 100,000 miles, besides that OP looks like he has a plan.

So disappointing to see so many trying to bring the fella down like a bunch of lobsters in a bucket.

Gator, congrats on making the move- I had made a similar one, and never looked back. Montego Blue is gorgeous! Enjoy and drive it like you stole it, and in good health

The 335i is a different beast from the 328i. Heads above no doubt. Every old car will break, have repairs, need maintenance. Sure the 328i may be cheaper to maintain, but it is also a level or two under the 335i. Price of admission I guess. Enjoy it!

Shut up about the warranty BS. Clearly the guy has done a ton of planning, and I'm sure the car will be fine. Nice job OP sounds like a definite upgrade. Post pics.

Welcome to the Montego 335 club I had a hard time finding a low mileage 335 coupe too. I drove to Canton, OH to get mine which was about 7 hours each way. Worth it x1000!
