Hi,

I have a CPO BMW 328i CP that I want to trade it in, now unfortunately I have a big scratch in th front bumper and it needs to be replaced. Should I let dealer handle it when I trade it in, or should I take care of it ? I am afraid it will come in Carfax and it will reduce the cost by some amount... And ,maybe dealer can do it without I appearing in carfax ? I am not sure how it works... Please help me figure out what to do.. Thanks

BTW if anyone is interested, I am planning to sell hit for 30k with premium sport, navi and only 20900 miles....

Please , please help me...

Are you serious? Carfax isn't even a 100% thing unless you turn it into insurance etc..go find a good scratch/dent guy and fix it

It is a trade, dont bother, they probably won't care either. They will be making plenty of money on your trade. If you were selling it on your own then you should fix it. Also, if the dealer does say something, then ask them if you fix it how much will it add to my trade in value, then you can decide if you want to fix it or not.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

Yeah , I guess that makes more sense ... I am planning to trade it in at dealer ... So maybe I should ask them directly...

I wouldn't point out any flaws on the car either. If you are worried about it, you can always buy some touch up paint (10 bucks maybe?) and fill in the scratch.
