Headlight problem-turn signal won't turn off

Hi all,

I'm a bit new to this forum and was wondering if somebody here could help me out with a problem I just started having tonight with my 2008 BMW 328i Sedan.

My driver side headlight turn signal won't turn off, even when the car is turned off and key is out. I have even tried setting the light switch to off. Also, when I set the turn signal switch to turn left it won't blink (but the rear light does as well as the side). I recently upgraded my factory halogen headlights to Depo Xenon HIDs and thought it might be problem with the headlight so I tried plugging in the original and the problem persists even in the original headlight. So that tells me that something else is wrong. Maybe a defective light switch? Any ideas?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and any help/suggestions!!

Maybe its the parking light feature? On mine the Angel eyes stay lit, but it seems pretty similar.

Read the section of the manual on that, might just have to tap the lever up

Yeah that is what it sounds like to me. It is a warning when you are parked on narrow streets so you don't get side swiped.

No, I just went I tried that feature. It actually turns on the angel eyes for whichever headlight I choose and then gives the warning for the parking light when I open the door so def not that.

However, I did get a new error symbol pop up when I just started my car, I've attached a picture for reference.

yeah i ended up taking it in to BMW. at first they couldn't figure it out but they ended up saying the light control module was fried and had to be replaced and the whole car reprogrammed. got that done and everything seems to be working now.

This happened to my car too. If possible could you give me a part number for the light control module.
