Coupe Vs 4-Door

I've been a 4-door guy all my life. I bought this e93(2-door/coupe) and totally in love with this car. Couple of days back I sat in a 4-door 5-series, X5 and felt suffocated. No offense, but i think 2-door is pretty awesome.
What do you guys think??

Personally, I'm not really a fan of the e90. It performs but the perfect lines of the e92 make the e90 look cut-off or something. Always loved coupes though.

I like a more rigid ride in the sedan vs a coupe

My first BMW was a 325 sedan in Monaco blue.
Then I sat in the E92 coupe- it was all downhill from there

e93 is coupe/convertible
in your details says convertible so u know what you are speaking about at least edit and add what is missing
i like coupe/vert for the simple reason that i'm young, me and my wife also when we will "fabricate" some kids we will move to 4 doors 3 series lol

I've always owned coupes and then got my 08 BMW 328i Sedan and I absolutely love it! I get the same performance and pleasure with the sedan, with the added comfort/room of a four door, that I would expect to get from a coupe. BUT I probably also love it because this is my first ever BMW that I sat in and owned. Either way you decide, you can't go wrong with a BMW!

I've always had 5 series before my coupe. I feel the front seat is bigger and more comfortable in my coupe. I rarely have more than 2 people in the car, the back seat isn't bad just getting in is a bit tricky for some if they don't move the seat all the way forward. But i really do like the coupe better, I really don't like the sedan I've had many of them for loaners.

i have a sedan and I think there are benefits of both

I like to be able to have co-workers/clients in my car and not have to worry about someone cramming into the back of a coupe, so thats why a sedan was best for me

as far as appearance the coupes front end is def more aggressive but i love the ass end of a sedan

Oh yea, NOW I have a vert. But my first coupe was back in 2009- couldn't bring myself to go back to an E90

Coupe is much more pleasurable to be in for me. Love the long windows/doors. Since I'm 6'2" I have my seat back a bit, and in the sedan that puts my face right next to the b-pillar.

I'm not going to lie. Sometimes I wish I had a sedan.

+1, but pretty much only when I or my passenger have to get out of the car to let someone into or out of the back seat, especially when the person riding back there is older and has trouble getting in and out (like my parents and in-laws). Otherwise, I definitely prefer the E92 styling, and you also get extra undocumented perks that don't exist on the sedan, like the orange lighting from under the door trim.

That said, if I ever needed a bigger car, I have to say I think I'm liking the M5 more than the M6 at the moment in both interior and exterior styling. I thought the M6 Gran Coupe might be the "have it all" option, but from the renders somehow I don't think it will look so great in person, plus it will be hideously expensive. However, if the new 3 Series gets a Gran Coupe option, that might get me the coupe styling I prefer with the convenience of four doors -- but then I'd be giving up this amazing V8....decisions, decisions.

I loved my e46 coupe, though at times I wished I had 2 more doors to let people/stuff in and out easier.

I don't like the lack of a frame around the windows, the door doesn't make that hermetic-seal sound that the sedan doors make when closing, more of a rattle. Wind noise is slightly worse too imo.

I love my e90 335, it's an amazing car. Quiet as a tomb inside, love the way the doors close and the convenience of four doors.

That said I drove my e46 coupe today and if I had the foresight to get a sedan 5 years ago, I would happily keep driving that car for years to come. I was younger and had only a g/f then, now she's my wife and we are starting our family so time for 4 doors!

my question is why are coupes always more expensive? seems like you get more car in addition to the 2 additional doors with the sedan.. Traded in a 4dr.. i think the back doors were used maybe 10 times in 4yrs .. love the coupe!

The reason sedans cost less is the higher demand. Although the sedan may cost more to build the engineering and tooling costs get spread over a larger base.

I like the styling of the coupe a lot better, I just feel like its a much sportier look, although I do have people in the back seat a lot, Im young so they are okay with it, It is roomy back there just hard to get into and out of

I had a 2dr before and it got annoying for me. It depends what you do with your car. If you often have more than 2 people inside, coupe or vert is no go.

E92/93 are sexy bitches though. I can't say I'm not jealous.

If the car has more than 2 seats, I would chose a sedan every time.
