TERRIBLE fuel consumption 10mpg?!

Hi chaps just a quick one

Ive recently put up a post trying to find out the issue with my 335i thats stock.

Not sure what the issue is but apparently it could be any of the following:

Coil
Solenoid
Injectors
Pump etc

All i know is that my car is doing 10mpg it says. And im wondering does anyone have any idea what part could be causing my car to have such terrible mpg values?

Is that average MPG? Have you worked out the mpg yourself (brim to brim)? worth a try just in case the obc is up the spout.

10mpg is really bad, i doubt it really possible without a fuel leak unless you're on a track day or something.

It's about 120 miles on a full tank, is that really what you're getting?

Reset your mpg.
Review your mpg after somtime and also calculate brim to brim mpg yourself or on fuely.com.

I'm averaging around 18 mpg local driving with a mixture of dual carriage ways and a little traffic and genereally taking it easy.
heavy foot days it will drop to around 14-15 mpg round town!

Been doing lots of stop start journeys all over the relatively small city of Derby & criss crossing over to Nottingham & back several times this week and got 30 mpg. That's the worse I ever get so I feel pretty chuffed. Glad I went for diesel.

Was actually running a family member round looking at cars ( must have spent £80 in fuel doing so) and test drove a few 1.6 petrols and boy did they feel slow . . . . Made me realise just how quick mine is as you do get used it over time. That was worth the £80 in fuel alone.

10mpg sounds like something must be wrong.
