Hi,

Last night I picked up a 2009 335i xDrive coupe in the infamous, and hotly contested Barbera Red. This is my first BMW but I've known I've wanted to get into a 335 for the past few years. I was having a really hard time finding a car with the Sport package. I tried convincing myself the stock seats were ok, but simply put, they are not.

It's fully loaded, except for one annoyance I neglected, iPod integration/USB . Premium, Sport, Cold Weather, Navigation, HD radio, satellite, Hi-Fi Sound (non-Logic 7, good for upgrading from what I've read).

It only has 17" wheels which when I called out the curb rash on 3 wheels, they actually gave me 4 brand new wheels when I arrived to pick it up! Funny thing, I kept my Hankook V12's from my 2009 Subaru WRX (traded it in with winters) and the tires are the exact same as the new car, 225/45/R17. I only have 1 summer on these tires so as soon as the run flats give way, I've got a no-cost swap to last me another summer or two.

I don't have plans now except for the essentials: tint, and BMW OEM rear seat cover for the dog.

First impressions on my commute, this thing destroys my WRX in terms of body roll/handling/rattles. I had been toying with doing a full suspension upgrade on the WRX (sways/struts/springs/bushings/etc), but this thing corners so well. And I've heard so many negative things about the xDrive suspension on the forums, but it's just night and day compared to my WRX, which is sad really.

My first major purchase living in Boston will be a winter tire/wheel setup, then I may look into a Cobb AP.

Wow car sounds sweet man! Welcome, i'm upgrading to a 335i soon from my nice old Subaru Outback (i've got the flat 6 3L, i'll be missing the sound for a while) haha.
