DTUK - 335d Anyone runing this tune box?
Is anyone running this tune in their 335d? Likes? Dislikes? Problems throwing codes or car going into limp mode?
Also looking for baseline before and after dyno's if anyone has them. Thanks. |

I'm running this box, ran it on my last 335d too
On the current car, I've cover circa 60,000 miles (car coming upto 100,000) in 2 years. Honestly, it's been faultless running it Caused no problems at all - never seen a code thrown up either On the rollers, my car made 339.4 bhp and 510 lbs / ft I don't have a before figure tbh, but the car feels strong and still averages 35mpg to the tank with mixed driving, and I don't drive it for econ If you search for my thread titled "For your consideration" you'll find the rolling road graph That was done running the origional 2007 software and the DTUK tuning box. Recently I had the cars entire software updated, still running the box, it feels alittle crisper and a tad more powerful - biggest bonus is the few extra mpg's on a run ..... 55mpg (steady 75/85) As for the down sides, if I'm honest.....I've not had any.....I've done 100,000 on the DTUK CRD-T system in two vehicles, and I also ran a red box system on my astravan (1.9 cdti) for 60,000 and that had no issues either - although I did manage to flag an engine management light once, but that was just me pushing the system seeing how far I could go Any questions please feel free to ask HIH Tom

Here's the graph on 2007 software and CRD-T box
And it's only on +10, it could be turned up alittle higher

Off the top of my head, I settled for the 2nd map, at 10%, but mines alittle different to the standard ones, so my map 2 is like the standard map 1 on the box
I've run my map 1 on 20% and it was great, and if it were just my out of hours car then I'd keep it on that, nice and aggressive and eager ..... But as I do allot of miles and use this car as my work van I wanted alittle more of a compromise .... Easier to live with round town and yet still plenty of umpf when you want it .... 340 bhp - 510 lbs ft..... For safer over taking

The 3 channel box - that was the one with the crank sensor, right? No idea tbh.

The 3 channel system doesn't offer any gains, factor in the extra cost for the module, then fact it uses a 12v power supply and isn't transferable as the 2 channel system we decided not to offer this system.
