Is the outside portion of the e92 LCI mirror a cap?

Looking to take it off if so. How does it come off?
I want to wrap it

If you're referring to the body colored portion, it is definitely a cap. Mine popped off once in a car wash. Not sure how to remove them properly, though.

to remove it stand facing the painted portion of the mirror cap. stick your fingers between the painted porton and the cap itself on the top. then pull towards you.

its a real bitch to do the first time but after it becomes easier
