What Steering lock anti theft device

Ok following on from a number of threads about stolen BMW and the recent theft of around 6 from my area,i am thinking about getting some sort oif extra deterant as i am soon to move to a flat and will no longer have my garage

I know if they want to steal it they will, but something to maybe deter them and slow them down

As the push button only works when the break is pressed i was thinking about one of those bars that go round your break pedal and onto your steering wheel? Then the push button would not work?

What else is in the market

Most of those lock devices are so flimsy that they are worthless.

Have you a drive or a specific space where you can fit some kind of barrier. THey can be very strong and too noisey to remove therefore the thiefs may move on to the next BMW.

Driveway block/ bollard is a great idea but as a lot of us its when you leave your car in a new area when travelling. I've been trying to get hold of a hand brake / gear level lock as they are very visible and quite tough. Problem is most are designed for non offset handbrake and BMW one is

Look for any device that meet meets the Thatcham category 3 rating and you should be good. I have an old 'disklock' thingy from way back when and use it now and again in my cars if I feel I need to have something extra- I'd take the monkey anyday though!
