comfort & noise reduction...

'07 328xi Coupe - Sports Package

I will be upgrading my stock 17s wrapped in Turanza RFTs (which by the way are in pristine condition) to M3 replica 18s...

What is the best tire size for a quiet/comfortable ride without affecting the frame (I don't think thats the proper term) of the x-drive setup?

Size: 18"x8.5"
Offset: 35MM
Bolt Pattern: 5x120
Part No. W716GMF18x8.5.35
Hub Bore: 72.6

225/40R18 or 235/40R18 would be the most commonly used sizes.

they can be different size tires in the rear? Even though the wheels are all the same size?

With an Xi I would not suggest running a taller tire in the rear. Stick with 225/40R18 all around or 235/40R18 all around.

Comfort and noise are going to be a function of the tire you choose.
Try non-RFT tires like the Michelin Pilot Super Sport if you want comfort and low noise with extreme performance...
