Halfrauds for detailing

If you only had the option to purchase car washing, polish and wax bits from Halfrauds only, what would you get. Stick with all autoglym, meguires or mix and match? Pads, cloths, wheel cleaner etc. I'm a total noob when it comes to knowing what's a decent product

I'm asking because the wife is going to see a cat with the kids and Halfrauds is my only local supply.

Cheers guys

You've missed the buy one get one free offer that ended on Monday.

Most people rate Autoglym super resin polish and their HD wax. It is £45 for the wax but can be bought for £25 online.

Most of the Meguairs stuff I've tried has been good.

Unless you catch Halfords when they have offers running, it is going to be expensive.

A lot of traders do mail order and plenty on ebay too.

Mix and match to get the best stuff. Or sneak onto cleanyourcar.co.uk or ebay and pick up some bits.

Buy all my stuff online but if I had to get some bits from Halfords then I'd use the AG products.

Actually Halfrauds still has that offer running despite what they said about it ending last Monday. As for the products mentioned I've used both the AG and Meguiars over the years and would always go for the Meguiars.

The AGSR is very good and even better if you have a dark coloured car as it would mask the inevitable swirls, the HD wax is also brilliant.

Also you should consider Poorboys Black hole glaze if your car is dark coloured

The deed has been done.
I already had g3 detox, G3 paint renovater and some g3 wax stuff in my kit.
Bought Meguires clay bar
Also picked up some meguires gold class wax and Auto g custom wheel cleaner.

Went looking for a pressure sprayer the type you pump up by hand but £35 I thought was a joke having seen them cheap on tinternet, anyone tried this to get some suds going?

3hours later.... Started to rain before I could get the last of the wax off!
Only spitting mind so came up good.
Impressed with meguires wax best I've used so thanks for the tip off.
Decided not to polish as after the detox stuff and clay the paintwork looked glass like. So went straight to wax. Once the sun went in I could see some really fine swirls which I reckon would have come out by hand.
Pics to follow...... Cheers guys

A few of the guys over at DW rate the G3 paste wax highly.

I also bought it and have used it today. Very happy with it.
