ZSP springs/shocks for e90
question about Sport ZSP shocks/springs. I have a pre-LCI e90 on non sport suspension. I came upon a set of ZSP shocks/springs but not sure if they're the right match for my car. (I've read that they will definitely fit, but I'd like to make sure that I'd be getting an even drop)
the springs are labeled D6 and D2... will these give me a good drop to sports suspension? Searching didn't give me a clear answer, only that it may not, but just wanted to confirm. If not, what do I need? Also... will the shocks from this set be usable in my car? For example, if I was to go with an eibach pro kit, or the right sports suspension that matched my car... would these shocks fit/work? appreciate any help, thanks. |

Since you've got an E90, I'd find out if those springs came off of an E90 and which motor/trans it has. Ideally, you want to get sport springs for the same car you have. OE sport springs and dampers will fit your car. Get the matching bumpstops and find out if the upper strut mount is the same between non-sport and sport.

thanks, from some of the searching, i think these were from a 335 e90 so i'm leaning toward not installing them.
Any idea if the shocks are usable on a 328i e90 from a 335i? |

I think the stock/zsp suspension is interchangeable between the e90 and e92 so you should be fine. I sold my zsp suspension to a guy with an e90 (non-sport) and I don't think he had any problems.
If you want to use aftermarket springs, I would suggest that you upgrade your shocks and struts as well. |

They def match, even if from a 335i to a 328i. You might get less lowering, but there will be lowering and as far as I know the differences are not too big.
One other thing to be aware: the shocks + springs are not the only things you would need to have the ZSP package, the sways bars I believe are also larger, but I can't recall if both of them.
