CD AND DVD ?? Confused ??!!??

When I put a standard CD in the CD player I get an option in the iDrive CD menu that shows BOTH CD and DVD options ?? Does anyone know anything about this ?? I cannot find any reference to DVD's in the manual for the Entertainment System or CD player ??

Has anyone used DVD in the audio CD player ?? If yes did you use it to burn a really big MP3 library or something else ????

Thx - why don't they tell you that in the manual ?? That must allow for something like 1,000,000 songs !!! How do you find anything ????

More like 700 or so (based on my experience with my music collection)

Even with a CD you're still talking 100-150 songs. Definitely not fun to scroll through that list.

The solution is to setup a folder structure that makes sense given the way you want to access your music. If you're using random mode exclusively then you can just stuff everything in the root and go.

Imade s DVD : 50 directories of indiviudual MP3 albums and 20 wma files in a root directory. The player did not seem to recognize the DVD as CD drive never highlighted in the menu.

What did I do wrong ??

OK - now I have it psyched out.

- The CD player will ONLY play regualr CD-R's - appears only MP-3 and not WMA (have to try this again though)
- The Navigation DVD player will play music DVD+/-R's with MP-3 or WMA music files loaded
