iDrive/CD Player not reading WMA's?
I thought that our in-car CD player can read WMA's ?
I just burned a CD (just like an MP3, but instead I used WMA's) and it doesn't work! Is it just me?

Unless I am mistaken it only plays MP3's.

It is supposed to play WMA, too, though I've never tried it. Could it be the encoding / bit rate? I don't know if it handles WMA VBR files, for example (though I think I remember a thread that said it does).

My manual specifically says MP3 and there is no mention of WMA. I will cut one nd try it.

Not sure if that helps, but it's one of the threads I remembered on this topic. I am positive others have successfully played WMA files in their CD player.

DVD's with MP-3 or WMA can be played in the Nav DVD player not the regular CD player.
