Have to Replace Rotors at 15k....
So while I was deployed for a year, my car did a whole lot of sitting. My wife would take it out every week or so, but it pretty much destroyed my rotors. Not looking forward to doing a replacement 15k miles in, but BMW won't cover it under warranty (at least here in Germany). So, that being said, what is my least expensive route? Wouldn't mind cross drilled or slotted for the aesthetic factor, but don't need anything excessive by any means. I have attached a few pictures of the worst of the 4, the rear-passenger rotor. It's really the only one that has pitting, but I vibrate bad when slowing at high speeds. Thanks for the help.
I don't necessarily have a budget, but I am not thrilled to have to drop the cash on this, so let's attempt to keep it low.

I like the StopTech, because they are already painted black, and saves me some DIY work...
http://www.**********s.com/StopTech-...rs-E92-E90.htm StopTech Rotors and Pads for 497.80 before shipping. Only thing I see is that **********s has them listed as 08-09 and nothing for MY2010... what would the differences in 08 and 09 be with my car? A few choices available on ECS as well... I've read a few of the threads on here, but I'm pretty sure it won't kill anyone if there is an updated one, since have the threads I read had broken links.

500ish if possible.. Daily driver, but may track it at least once to try it out. I'd rather have brakes to get me through the day though, than brakes to get me around a race track if you know what I mean.

StopTech does make blank, drilled, slotted, and cross drilled rotors for you to choose from. They will work for all 07-12 models without any issues and are a great and affordable choice for those who are looking to replace their OEM rotors.

Try and get them resurfaced. You only have 15k on the car, my rotors lasted 60k and I am VERY hard on brakes. Will probably reduce their overall life a bit, and I know that BMW doesn't generally resurface rotors but given the price and sometimes questionable quality of lower-priced aftermarket solutions, I don't think it's a bad option.
Just my $0.02. P.S. Thanks for your service overseas, glad to hear you're back safe and have your car to enjoy, despite this minor hiccup!

^if the rotors are withing tolerances resurfacing would probably be the cheapest easiest way to fix the rotors.
Zimmerman Rotors are very popular for break jobs, they are budget friendly while still being a quality rotor. Meyle also has a very easy on the wallet rotor which is not quiet as popular but still a very solid well performing rotor that you might want to think about. |

I gotta put in a vote for R1 rotors. The company was great to deal with and the rotors are good quality. I got the cross drilled slotted ones for aesthetics too and they look amazing!

I went with the premium dimpled and slotted rotors from http://brakeperformance.com/. They were just over $400 with a coupon. Big improvement in looks over the stock rotors.

No... I was warned against them by a fellow member so I went with Akebono pads. The rotors come with free pads, which are the ones the I was told were not any good, but they do offer upgraded pads for $40 a set which are still metallic as opposed to the Akebono's which are ceramic.
