Problem with angel eyes E92

Hello everybody, I've been lurking around on this site for a couple of years now and the time has come to reach out for some personal help.

I own a 2007 e92.

I recently purchased some xenon bulbs for the angel eyes and if you refer to the attached photos, I have the following problem. While there are hold on the left and right of the angel eye bulb sockets, on the hole on the right there is a piece of glass which has a purple colour. This results in giving a purple tinge to the light on the side of that angel eye.

Is this piece of purple glass standard fit? Maybe the previous owner fitted it.... If so maybe I can remove it somehow.

I'm hoping someone on this site can help me out.

Thanks in advance!
