I pre-ordered the still-hard-to-find Nikon 85mm/1.8g lens (retail $499.95) and ordered the never-in-stock 85mm/1.4g (retail: $$) at the same time. Both came in within a week of each other and I'm going to stick with the 85mm/1.4g... The 1.8g was purchased from B&H and delivered on 5 Mar - it's still new-in-box with warranty card and everything and I'm still within the 30-day window to return, if needed.

Before I do, is there a demand for this lens? Anyone interested in taking the 85mm/1.8g off my hands? $499.95 plus shipping (plus tip?)
