Rearview camera is still available. And yes it does hookup to iDrive. BUMP!

so if i have a 2008 bmw 335xi with i-drive, i can plug this in and play? or what else would i need?

If you have the iDrive that's perfect, however you will need the plug in play module to view from iDrive. You can use the following guys below:

My advice is to contact them and ask how much they can sell you the module for. These prices are negotiable. I'm sure you can get the mod's cheaper on ebay, but just giving you two sources that work for this camera on the iDrive.
