Just fyi, I asked around quite a bit on the benefits of powder over paint and the general consensus was to go with paint. If you curb the wheel, it would be more costly to re-powder. Paint is much cheaper to upkeep. But powder is more durable. Pro/con to each. Just sharing what I found out... Good luck!

I didn't curb the wheel, but I just want to give my winter wheels a bright orange effect. I'm just afraid of paint peeling over powder coating, what do you think?

What I was saying was that should you curb a wheel, it costs less to repair paint. And not to paint over powder coating, but whether to choose paint or powder coating. Even when I went to the shop that did the paint, they do both, they told me painting would be better. Just passing info. I am sure other folks on the forum prefer one over the other and will tell you some of the benefits of both. Dont forget pix afterwards!
