title says it all. Just wondering since during ED everyone is flying down highways at speeds of 100+ mph.

I'm curious about this too? What if you do have an accident? Your car is not yet insured right? Does BMW provide some kind of temporary insurance just in case?

BMW will provide two weeks of insurance for your new car with no additional charge during ED.

So... if you took delivery in Munich I imagine you'd still be covered? |

If you bought insurance in Munich or have a regular policy in Munich then a 30 day time limit may very well apply. If you bought in Munich but your regular policy is in the U.S. I highly doubt it. A separate liability policy may be required.
Then again as another member mentioned. BMW self-insures so you're okay. Call em up and ask incase you're concerned. |

I have heard that the port will take out minor dings and fix curbed wheels and such on the way through - any truth to that? They do it for the dealer stock cars, a surprising number of cars suffer minor shipping damage.

That being said, I'm 99% sure my Acura CL I bought had the driver door done before I took delivery. The courtesy light cover on the door was missing, the door wasn't aligned properly. Just not "Honda" standards... |

Also, because I was there more than the two weeks I bought the additional insurance that BMW offers, $250 for 1 month. |
