Ok, first start off by dumping a bottle of chevron techron fuel injector cleaner in the tank. If that doesn't work after 3 days then change your plugs and air filter. OEM plugs can be had at o'reillys for $40 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=543384

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

only thing i would add to the above is clean the MAF if you do the air filter. its delicate and needs a special aerosol cleaner. read up on this if you have never done it. replacing it is not cheap.

You are hard core when it comes to that. I cleaned mine once with a maf sensor spray, but, out of curiosity, when i looked up the price to see how much it would cost to replace it (over $200?) I try to stay away from that!

Two more things I will add to the above list, if vibrations do not go away- (i) clean your vanos solenoids (there is a DIY for it), and (ii) Pull codes from the OBDII (if you know someone who has a BT or Peake cable, please use- this may pin point the problem exactly.

Since we are being extra helpful, here is the link http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=486201&page=3. I would do this if all else fails.
