Engine malfunction :(
This morning driving to work i get the engine malfunction and the car went into limp mode. The car is shaking and i have lost power. I started it back up during lunch and it is still happening
I have a 2007 335i, running a JB+ at 50% and did the 335i exhaust sound mod (golf tee mod). I have about 49,500 miles. Will i be able to pull the error code by scanning in a normal OBDII scanner? Like if i went to autozone, they can tell me my issue with the car? Why then is BMW dealership charging me $130 ? Correct me if i am wrong, will someone with te BavTech scanner be able to clear the code? Does anyone know or can think of what can be wrong? I am thinking of removing the JB and plugging back in the exhaust mod to normal now...Hopefully that will fix the car? Any help would be nice! |

most likely a miss fire, could be a bad plug, or fuel injector, or could be a bad engine valve, or anything else for that matter

JB wouldn't hurt but who cares about the exhaust. They might see codes relating to overboost or something if you don't clear them.
