Question about finding info from vin

I was wondering if i gave the vin number of a car i'm looking at getting could someone tell me if it has active cruise control? It's a 2008 335xi and the description says it has active cruise control but in the pictures i don't see any of the glass radar bubbles on the front bumper. I've tried googling vin decoders but can't find any that give out the cars options. Either this or can someone with a 2008 e92 and active cruise control tell me if they have the glass circle thing?

I got a detailed printout on my "d" from the dealrship's service dept.IIRC they said they weren't supposed to do it but did it nevertheless.I ceratinly could be wrong but I suspect that "active" cruise (that is,radar modulated cruise) was available on 3ers on 'o8.

I'm hoping it doesn't have it... Reason i'm worried is cause i have a radar detector so i don't want cruise control interfering with that. I thought that if it did have active cruise control it had the glass bulb thing somewhere on the front bumper? From the pictures on the listing it doesn't look like it has anything like that

just call the bmw dealer and give them the vin and ask them. you don't have to tell them you aren't the current owner. just give them the vin and tell them you want to know if the vehicle has active steering or not. its as simple as counting 1, 2, 3...

Thank you, exactly what i was looking for.

So it looks like it does have active cruise control which is weird since theres no glass bowl looking things...

Cruise control with a brake function featured is standard (regular cruise control), Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go (radar) is an option.

From the Vin report it look like your car has regular cruise control.

Yea i found this out after Mallard posted the info for me. Still trying to negotiate that car down though.. Hopefully they'll give in and i'll have it in a few weeks

Just so you know I think Mallard is no longer doing vin decodes. I saw he used to have a thread for vin decoding and posted he was no longer doing it
