The Unlock Button on My Key Fob Won't Work
Has anyone else had this problem? The lock button and trunk button both work fine, but for some reason, the unlock button does not - and of course i lost my spare.
is there anything I can do about this besides buy a new key?

Don't lock your car and get the best insurance you can.

Take it into the dealer, if you are in good with them they will probably warranty it for you.
In the mean time use the metal blade key in fob to unlock the door. |

the blade key is the most annoying thing in the world. especially if you have shit in your hands.. i really don't want to spend the $200 for a new key right now

Exact same thing happened to me this week. Check fuse 57 (I have an 07 328xi). Mine was blown. Replaced fuse (20 amp) and all is good. This is a pretty common problem on these cars. Try changing the fuse first. If that doesn't work, someone on this forum previously mentioned disconnecting battery for at least 15 minutes fixed it for them. But I'd try fuse first.

It should be fuse 57. If not, look at fuse 73. My issue was car would lock fine, and trunk button worked fine, but unlock wouldn't, either on key fob or button on dash. Replaced fuse 57, all is good now. Hope this helps!
