New Ride!
Hey guys!
I had a 2008 328xi coupe for about a year and a half. Shortly after buying it I realized what most do....... I should have bought a 335! lol. Here's the 328. So after about a year and a half with it I got rid of it for an 08 4LT corvette. I know, what happened? Well I convinced myself that since I had a dedicated beater, I might as well have a dedicated sports car. And just for fun, here's my beater. 04 Grand Cherokee Overland- 3" lift, 32" BFG AT's, intake, exhaust, tune, etc etc. Anyway, after 7 months with the vette, I desperately missed having a BMW. So about two weeks ago I traded the vette and picked up a 2011 335i xDrive coupe with 8500 miles. Space gray on black with the bamboo trim. Has everything I definitely wanted, sport, premium, cold weather, nav, HK sound, and comfort access, oh and 6 speed manual of course. Got a few things on my to do list knocked out so far. -all weather mats and cargo liner -clear bra -12% tint all around -bumper plugs for the damn license plate holes -msport perforated shift knob and boot -procede should be here tomorrow! Got an appointment at the dealership thursday to get the latest ECM update before throwing the procede on, can anyone confirm that a november-11 update is the latest? Thinking painted reflectors will be next, then exhaust, from there we'll see. Have to dig in to find out how tolerant my SA's are before diving into catless DP, CP, etc. |

Thanks for all the comments!
summall- I went with the BMW cargo liner and weathertech digital fit floor mats since the oem ones now have a carpeted heel pad which I don't like, fit is excellent on the weathertechs 335iswhite- unfortunately the car already had the bumper drilled, WV doesn't require a front plate so I already installed the color matched bumper plugs, if you look at the second to last pic you'll see them, they don't look bad, much better than holes! pimp4cheddar- The vette is a fun car, pretty damn quick and with a factory top speed of 190 it's hard to beat for pure performance for the dollar. If you wanted a track car only, it's very capable even in stock form. However it's just not the complete package for a semi daily driver. Pretty rough riding, expansion joints on the highway will wear you out etc. Then there's the interior, even with the 4lt trim which gave mine the leather wrapped dash and door panels, it just feels a little cheap. The nav controls and layout are also a bit dated. Personally, I just feel the 335 has the perfect balance between ride and handling, not to mention superb interior materials, fit, and finish. It also feels alot more planted, secure, and confidence inspiring at super high speeds. At 150-160 the vette starts to feel light and a little nerve racking, the BMW feels like you could set the cruise there. Two totally different animals. |

please do tell me how you think the 335i with your procede does vs your vette. im guessing its the vettes faster bering way down on weight and more hp, but when you install it tell me if the vette was considerably faster. (stock c6 vs tuned 335i)

Well I'm at the dealer now getting the update, I'll have the procede in tonight and post up the differences. It's funny, I told them I wanted the car updated and after verifying it didn't "need" it and would cost me $250 they were completely confused when I said yes, that's fine I still want it done. The SA looked at me like I must be crazy, either they're playing dumb having no clue why someone would do this, or they never see any modded 335s to have a clue.
