OP, the people here are nuts! Crazy! Loopy! You'll see the details soon. Some wash and wax every week, some more often than that. Oh, the madness!
Sorry for the sarcasm, I must be running on decaf this morning. For me, wash and wax twice a year with intermittent washes when the salt/dirt becomes unbearable. It's my daily driver, I've got kids, and not much free time. I don't have time to obsess over this car.

I wash mine about once every week or so, but really only when I see that it needs it bad. I'll wax when I see it could use it or have some spare time. I recently washed, clayed, waxed, cleaned the interior and used some leather cleaner (Z-9) and conditioner (Z-10) on the seats for the first time. Have never taken a buffer to it, but I do want to have that done.

For me it all depends on the weather. Summer time it gets cleaned every week at least. I hate a dirty car and mine is black so it gets dirty fast. Winter time is another story. As of now it has been sitting in the garage for over a month without being driven. Damn snow and salt. Come on summertime!

I only detail for family and friends now.
For me and my lady, I follow this schedule:

During the summer, I hand wash at least once a week and quick detail in between to keep the dust/pollen off (including wiping off the wheels). I wipe out the inside about once a week as well. I try to put a coat of wax on about every 30-45 days. The stuff I use (Poorboys Natty Blue) is super easy to get on and off, so a wax only takes like 30 extra minutes at the most. I do a full exterior detail twice a year (wash, clay, wash, polish, sealant, wax), but if I notice some swirls starting to build up between details I will get out the PorterCable and M205 and clean it up (and then wax).
Other random stuff I try to do once or twice a year: * GumiFledge the rubber seals * Polish and wax the interior wood trim * Polish the exterior metal (window trim and exhaust tips) with metal polish * Polish the plastic (headlights/fogs)

Automatic wash every 1-2 weeks, including wheel cleaner. I usually have to do the rims by hand aftwards. Car wash usually includes a spray on wax. Hand wax in my driveway every 3-4 months - depends on when it needs it.
Interior? When it gets dirty. I have 2 kids so it's more often than if I were the only one. I tend to be a "neat" person to begin with, so leather gets conditioned every 2-3 months, but otherwise spot cleaned. Windows when they're dirty. Vacuum when it gets dirty. |

Life is too freakin' short to obsess. I've got kids, a full time job, a mortgage, and a wife I adore, all of which/whom deserve more attention than my car. |
