GoPro Hero

I just purchased the GoPro Hero for $189. I love it so far, but I kind of regret not getting the Hero2. For people with the Hero2, is it worth the extra $120 (retail of Hero2 is $299)?

Are you going to mount it on the Hood?
This looks like something you would use for action sports.
I would think you need to look for a racing forum to get
somebody exited by this.

My buddy has the HD one (not sure which model) and it works amazing. The suction cup mount works awesome on any part of the car and won't budge. The viewing angle is also really wide so you will always get what you want in the shot. Used on my car for track days, on the bike, water skiiing, snow boarding. Great product.

Yes it's a great product. Can you ask your friend if he has the newest model GoPro (called Hero2). Wanted to know if it's THAT much better than the previous model.

The one my buddy has is an older model. He bought it back in 2010, it was the original hero that did 1920x1080 in HD.
I'm sure with the changes in technology the newer version 2 is probably even better.

I have both. I got the 2 as a gift this year, and really appreciate the front screen difference. The HD is much harder to navigate due to the low-res front screen. The wide angle + 1080p is a new mode on the 2 which is great, and the new 120fps mode is very smooth even when seen at 1/4 speed. I would say for the extra 100 it's worth it.
