Can't really find a review on this, but I'm looking for a car cover that can stand against rain, heavy wind, and snow. How's the OEM outdoor one?

I bought one from Autozone for $50 and that thing sucks! A freakin fart will set it flying. Both times I've used it it flew off. This last time I spent 3 hours on Sunday washing my car and threw it on because of today's rain. Flew off again.

After reading countless reviews and videos about it, it seems to be a top notch cover. I will add a review once I get it.

I have it, its fine, has a lined grommet pouch so that you can bungee or lock it, without contacting paint.

Do you use it regularly outdoors? Does it keep moisture out when it rains?

I used it for outdoor storage for 6-9 weeks. It is breathable and i think it will repel water but not be waterproof when saturated. I think its a worthy purchase, you may find comparable or better products out there, but it was good enough for me\.

yeah the OEM (snuggest fit i could find) one is really good, left it on my car for about 2 months while i was away (outdoors), like taibanl said its not waterproof, but its breathable so your car will actually dry faster with it on, excellent UV protection and it will not come off with winds (florida tropical storm tested), also great to use in garage to keep the dust off after a detail to allow sealants to cure in case you want a 2nd coat of it.(to avoid rewashing).

Id recommend California Car Cover company too. Ive bought 2 covers from them and they are custom fit. THey also have a lined grommet pouch so that you can bungee or lock it.

One thing though. I used to have the Noah type one, and my only problem was in winter. Ice would form during heavy snow/melt. This ice would penetrate the cover and mae the cover sticK to my car. Removing it would sucK. This might happen with all covers that breathe and are not 100% unpermeable.

You will be happy with the oem outdoor cover. Have mine for 5 years, and it does it's job.

I would say no. I used to use a cable and lock just so the cover wouldnt blow away with the wind.

Good cover all around....no match for gusts over 30mph even with tie downs.

I use it every week while I travel.
