Putting 335d away for Winter

I am going to be putting my 2011 335d away for the winter in the next 4-6 days...
I already have a have a battery charger, my question is should I put extra air into the tires? So I don't get any flat spots on the tires? Also I tired putting my key in and try taking it our of park, so I could maybe roll the car by hand(without starting the motor) to maybe change where the car sits onto the tires... But when I try that I cannot get the gear shift out of park(even have my foot on the brake pedal)

Any thoughts for me before I put away my baby

If you're putting it in storage, jackstands.
If its going to be within walking distance, just start her up and go around the block once in awhile.

Add a stabilizer to your fuel tank and fill full of fuel. May even want to consider a biocide. Microbes can grow in diesel which sits for prolonged periods of time. Could shoot an email to Powerservice. They'll respond quickly.

Forget fuel stabilizers lol.
If you care so much about your car run it every week or two around the block to keep it running well. Its not good to just sit there.

I stored mine in Oct... tires all seem to be holding air just fine. From what I have read, do not take it for short runs. That might actually cause more damage. I have mine on a tender, but think it is overkill.

My car sat last winter for about 4 months with no issues / no battery tender.

^ driving the car around the block a couple of times is enough to warm things up and keep it running good.

powerservice is oil...just like diesel...put something GOOD in your car...def. not Powerservice.

Like others say: jackstands, disconnect battery, and a synthetic fuel additive

Did the same last year & this year. Have a tender - No issues. Didn't start it for 5 months.

Don't need a tender for such a new car (battery). You should start worrying if it'll be in storage for more than 6 months. I've left mine and all the cars I had before for at least 4 months while on a long vacation and all started fine when I got back.

"Put away"? There's about 2 months left of winter. If you got it this far, why put it "away" now. Drive it and get a good touchless carwash every other week...or splurge and get the PetroCan wash card...good for 3 months of SuperWashes!

Regards
D.

I put it away Jan 1... the weather has been great here in London Ontario, only had 2-3 snow days, got like 14inches in 2 days..... kinda wish I had not taken the insurance off of it.... But oh well its sitting in the garage all nice and clean for now.....

Probably will drive it next year, just need a good set of winter tires

Just got back from the GTA... had the battery tender off for the warm weather. With the snow we got this weekend, battery tender is back on for a while. Stupid groundhog.
