Deep rock chip, diy fixable?
My car is a year old and I've been trying my best to keep it looking as good as possible. Thanks to the sticky in this forum, I've been able to do a good job at it.
However I picked something up from the highway yesterday that is just killing me. I think a rock or something flew into my hood, leaving some scratches and a deep chip. Please see attached images. You can only see it from the side and under certain light, but I know it's there and it's annoying as heck. Any advices on what to do would be appreciated. EDIT: color is space gray metallic. |

build it up layer by layer, not one big glob. Probably will take 4-5 coats to make it flush and even above the surface, then you want to sand it even and the polish out the sanding marks.
