Switching from '09 335i x-drive to 2011 335i x-drive SE

Just swapping my '09 for an '11, and the '11 is the SE (M-sport, exec package). It comes with lovely 19" wheels and rubber....for the summer.

But before I really get to test them, it will be winter prep time here in Alberta. I do have my old set of OEM Type 162 ZSP 17" rims on which I had 225/45R17 Blizzak LM22s (the rubber on the RFTs is toast so needs replacing anyway).

I have two questions:

First: will they fit fine on the new car?

Second: if so - LM60s as an upgrade on my old LM22s? something else? Edit: doesn't look like the LM-60 is RFT - only LM25s?

With Calgary not having a ton of snow usually, a fair bit of ice and dry road there is one environment; then there's the trips to the Okanagan through the mountains on a regular basis......snow, ice, not much bare road.

I think the Hakka 9s are out because of poor dry road performance. Don't know about any others really for my type of conditions.

Any ideas?

Thanks remmib! Glad to hear it (and certainly less expensive than the alternative....).
