Audi A7
I'm starting to feel the love.
The 3-series isn't really doing it for me any more and I think my current car will be my last 3-series.... next car could be a face off between a 535d and the A7. What u think? |

I kind of like them, but having seen a few in real life, the rear lights look really low - almost too low. This is not evident in most photos, though this one hints at it....its very pronounced in the metal IMO and looks slightly odd, though very distinctive.
Is an A7 actually any bigger than the more conventional looking A5 fastback (bavarian Rover SD1...)

I think they look fantastic. Saw one the same as the black one in the pic a couple of weeks ago and it was a real head turner. It looked Panamera sized but wasn't ugly like a panamera.
FYI Audi are calling all their 5 door models Sportbacks. |

Can't be bothered to cut and paste, but compare page 62 here ----
http://www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/au...5Sportback.pdf to page 56 here ----- http://www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/au...-sportback.pdf The A5 has a slightly wider interior than an A7, the boot is wider, the boot opening is wider. The A7 has a slightly longer boot (~10cm) and front headroom is about half an inch more. In other words they are pretty much identical is size. I guess the A7 is supposed to be plusher - but hardly much in it, is there? EDIT - A5 245ps 3.0TDI sportline 7sp auto = £39k, A7 245ps 3.0TDI sportline 7sp auto = £49k. £10k premium!

The rear only looks good when the rear spoiler thing is up. Looks rubbish when it's hidden away.

Good god, do non of you drive??? I've seen a million (i never exagerate either.)
The back end is something only a mother could love, the lights are hidious, with the spoiler up it looks like a corrado that's had a stroke. Go and buy a multipla, and be done with it.

I don't like em much. It's getting increasingly difficult (from the front) to tell the difference between an A5, A5, A5 sportback, A7. They just bore me rigid.
Having said that there are some stonking contract hire deals on the A7 (about £360 on 6+23) at the moment, so compelling value.... |

I'm looking at one right now and do most days because the guy in the next unit has one. It caught my eye originally but I guess familiarity breeds contempt. The back end does seem to get worse with every look and as already mentioned, the front could just be any Audi. Not a fan.
Also his is the 3.0TDI non quattro S Line. Would all that be going through the front wheels? Surely not? |

Love the A7 myself at the moment and is a serious toss up between that and an F10 next. Had a 530d m-sport for a day this week and I must say, was very impressed. Car was on 20's and the ride still felt great. Diesel lump nice and torquey low down and the 8 speed auto is superb.
Need to try and get a well spec'd A7 out to compare. Would have to buy Quattro tho! No fwd for me |

Looks like every other boring Audi from the front and a Rover SD1 from the rear. An absolute monstrosity of a car. One of the worst looking cars on the road today
All in my opinion of course |
