Evolve switch box

For sale is my now-unused evolve switch box. Looking at other threads you can purchase the map direct from Evolve and then use this box to switch between the remap and standard. £50 plus postage at cost.

Even if it was used for 320d and I would like to use it for my 320d I cant because 1 remap belongs to one car. If you upload your standard map and sell it also noone could use the remap inside the box. Am I understanding it correctly ? Please improve me if I am wrong.

You will still need to purchase a remap from Evolve to use this box. The box just enables you to save your purchased map on the device and switch the car between standard and remapped state. Useful for when taking to the dealer for service/other issues. Then hook up and stick the new map back on. HTH

Yes, its very useful.

It is still a little confusing haha

If you sell your 335d and put the old map into it and I buy the box from you with the map for 335d, would I be able to load this map into my 335d ? Excatly the samae years, spec etc etc. Or the map in the box is only coded for your and only your car ?

I believe my remap will not work with your car as its a reworked version of my particular standard map. The box simply helps with reflashing the car to the new map if any work is done by the dealer..

Does it have to be an Evolve remap on the box or can any other vendor flash a map for you on their tailored to your car? I am looking for something i can switch between 2 different types of remaps as the other map will just be used for track purposes, do you know if this is possible?

Just to help the OP out.

The box is just a device for putting maps on and of the car.

Anyone buying it will have to buy a new map for their car regardless of what this box was used for.

It can not be used with any other companies tuning apart from ours.

A new map for anyone buying this device will be £249 inc VAT.

Please make sure the seller has returned his car back to standard or the box will not work.
