According to http://jalopnik.com/5829166/ the dealership caved in and the guy got the car for the winning sale price. (imo a good move by them before it got too out of hand, specially when considering the price difference wasn't that much to begin with).

The dealer never lose money.... They must retrieved the car from an auction thinking the car can be sale for 60k....typical dealer...demand and supply...

Go inside the dealership and ask to speak to the Idiot that made the mistake if he even works there anymore.. and see if he could make another mistake on any new BMW in ebay......

Just back from the river by San Marco's ... I drove by Honda dealership Friday - No customers; Saturday - No customers; I walked inside and it was like a ghost town - 15 sales rep with nothing to do... and of course they were closed Sunday.

I did ask about the GTR and they said it was sold and they couldn't really talk about it.
