Feeler: Alpine White 320D // LOW mileage // Offers Welcome
All,
Before I get into modding this car to my taste, I have been thinking and thinking about an E92, after my brother in law bought one some few weeks ago. It has now tampered with my mind and I now have the URGE to follow suit :-( I thought I'd see if anyone is interested in my 3er for either a full buy or P/X for an E92. It needs to be another Diesel, from 2.0 ltr onwards. I apologise if this renders to be an invalid thread for the majority on here but I live by the phrase, 'you never know until you ask'. If anyone is interested in such a deal, here's the spec.. - BMW 320D E90 M Sport - Aerodynamic Package - Steptronic / Automatic - Low Mileage - 49,500 - Full Service History - 4 Brand New (NON Run Flats) Nexen N6000 Tyres (Just over 1k on them so plenty or tread left) - Road Tax - Expiring end of this month but I'll extend for another 6 months. - MOT - March 2012 - Full Black Heated Dakota Leather - MV3's OEM 18" Alloys (Some light curbing, mainly cosmetic - if you're very particular like me, you can easily have them refurbished for a VERY good price) - Twin Exhausts (similar to 335d / 335i) - Rear Parking Sensors - Cruise Control - Electric Mirrors / Electric Windows - BMW Professional CD/Stereo - Full Respray to Alpine White (Previous owner had it resprayed from Black to this - by an independent dealer, who seems to have done a remarkable job. It's far far far from any 2nd class work at your average joey's). - Returns on average 44mpg on long runs and 39.9 in town. - Washed weekly at home using only the higher end cleaning materials incl. Meguiars wash mitt, shampoo and wax + 2 bucket method. I recently bought Audio Upgrades (Focal KRS 100 + SWS Earthquakes etc) to replace the standard stock sound but I will probably keep this in view of upgrading the next one. Again, just a feeler, in no rush to sell but if anyone is interested to buy or swap, PM me please. Pictures available on request but there should be a few on this site if you search for my threads. Originally bought for circa £14k around 3-4 months ago. I appreciate these things go down in value so I'm open to sensible offers. Sam. Last edited by AWBimmer; 08-09-2011 at 03:24 AM.. |

That's the problem. I don't know what would be a decent / realistic value hence open to offers, but nothing silly. What price bracket would you suggest since you are the main man

It's a hard car to price as the white re-spray puts it into a different category and will not appeal to all.
Also the cheap tyres will do nothing to attract buyers so you might need to discout or replace them too. |

I'm not too educated on which tyres are the better ones other thank knowing brand names etc. Also, I replaced the old worn RFT that were previously in place, within 2 weeks of buying this car, so I was slightly strapped for cash at the time. I wouldn't say they're budget, rather in the middle range. The next up was Michellin I think. Plenty of tread remaining as have only covered over 1k, but if someone is genuinely interested in the car for a certain sensible price, I may consider a discounted value.
Other than the reason for losing the OEM stock black colour, I thought white was the 'In' colour and appealing to quite a few people?! Maybe I'm wrong, but its quite rare to own a 56' reg alpine white - one that is M Sport out of the factory with M Sport Suspension etc. Goes well IMO. Each to their own |

Mileage is 49, 200 as we speak right now. I paid £14,200 about 3-4 months back, in cash from private seller.

Erk.. Got to say you'll struggle to see that back mate.. Think you paid quite alot there!
A 2006 car with 50k and no extras can be had for 11,500 on autotrader approx. See: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1501?logcode=p There are actually quite a few different ones that are even cheaper but with cloth/alcantara so I've discounted those. So you've also got prof stereo and heated seats: But only 20% of buyers will care about that, most won't know what it means. And of the 80% who only look at the price you've got to consider the non-standard exhaust and colour not matching up with logbook / DVLA records is going to put alot more people off You MIGHT sell it privately, but it's a very bad time to sell. If you go for trying it I'd suggest 12k and see how it goes.. Otherwise: take the exhaust off as that will then appeal to a few more buyers (It will look "normal). That's my opinion. Sorry for not being more positive! I just wonder if for you it was a case of "I want it!!" and the private seller getting a bit more out of you than you really should have paid 3 months ago? Personally I'd just keep it! Or buy mine!

Need some lights soon, where's G-10!! Dave, how & who did you get / use to get the lights tapped into the comfort circuit and did it jeopardise MOTs at all? |

If you can wait a month or up to 6 weeks tops then mine will be for sale bro.. LCI headlights (I paid £280) plus the white LED ring markers (I paid £50) plus the xenon conversion kit (I paid £100) plus the lamin-x tint film (I paid £70) and then it also cost me £100 labour to get it all put together.
If you would give me £400 I'd give you the lot That is pretty painful as all in these lights cost me 600 odd!! But I have to be reasonable about selling it I guess. And I'll get George to do the comfort circuit wiring for you too.. FoC.. They'd probably want a little something if you wanted to fit it but they are very fair. Based in Ashford West london (ps the chap who does it username on EvoTechnik is 'westside' ) ps no issues with MOT in fact I'm getting the car MOT'd next week so I'll prove it then |

Lol, what a surprise post. I thought that was the end of that thread. Given your username, you have an E92 325 for swap?
Please PM some details. Thanks very much. |
