Mod friendly Dealers in DFW

Do the DFW dealers care if you have an aftermarket tune? I need to bring my car in for some small interior warranty items but not sure if I need to take my JB4 out or just set it to map 0 and lock the glove box. Classic is the closest to me so wondering if they care or if I need to ask for a certain mod friendly advisor.

It's always hit or miss, the way I look at it is that there's no "mod friendly" dealers. I personally know some of the tech's and I ask for them when I take it in, but there's always a risk. It's like playing with fire. I'd be safe and take it out personally.

I had some help putting it in last time by a member that knew what he was doing, not sure I could get it in/out in 15 mins, maybe 1 hr.

Take it out yourself...you need to learn. Just take your time and use the video and the pdf. Read/watch them a few times before. It will take 45 minutes tops. After a few times, it will take 20 minutes. Always take it out prior to dealer! That is the one thing they won't deal with.

Do they typically go out of the way to check and see if a car has a tune if it looks otherwise stock? Especially if they are not doing any engine/software stuff just fixing interior rattles etc? 1 hour to take it out and 1 hour to put it back in when it's 108 outside or 103 in a garage does not sound appealing at the moment.

The only time you can work on your car is between the hours of 5am and 7am now. Its too damn hot!

Aren't you on the S2000 forums? I used to own one and saw the familiar screenname, if it is. Then just dropping by to say hi.
